- 8-a-side, 6 overs (3x batting pairs; 2 ov. each) - (Fri-Sun, July 7-9), Kauppi grass fields 1 & 2 (Tampere).
This year the SM-VIIKKO cricket was held on grass in Kauppi. TreCC started well against the TEagles (winning by 20 runs) after Hamzah bowled a double-wicket maiden, but then faltered against Helsinki (by 11 runs) before losing their way against a strong Turku team (by 24 runs) to finish 3rd in the group stage. The Quarter-Final against a very strong SKK turned out to be as tough as was expected with SKK posting a competitive 35/3 in their 6 overs (both Shahbaz & Muneeb bowling tight overs), but the TreCC lads batted calmly to overhaul the target without losing a wicket to set up a Semi-final rematch with the TEagles. After restricting them to 29/1, TreCC cruised to victory after posting 47/0 (the 3rd highest innings of the tournament behind Turku's 48/0 & 56/0) albeit with the help of some indisciplined bowling (23 extras!) to storm into the final. The Final was a nail-biter with firstly Turku and then also TreCC showing what pressure can do - Turku posting a meagre 20/4 on the back of a great bowling effort, and then TreCC on the back of the match top-score of 8 by Deepak finally succumbing by 4 runs after some unfortunate wickets fell.
